Ben-Jason Dixon is set to start for the DHL Stormers against Zebre in Parma as the only change to the run-on team that played in last week’s defeat to the Ospreys in Bridgend.

Dixon played off the bench a week ago as the Stormers started their Vodacom United Rugby Championship campaign with a 37-24 defeat, with that scoreline distorted by the late penalty try that the Ospreys were awarded in the final minutes.

Also back in action but not starting is fullback Warrick Gelant, who has now fully recovered from an injury he was nursing during the off-season. Gelant will play off the bench, alongside scrumhalf Dewaldt Duvenage, who is back in the Stormers set-up on a game by game basis after returning from several seasons playing for the other Italian team, Benetton.

Sazi Sandi is the other change on the bench as he replaces Leon Lyons, who last week covered the loosehead prop position. Sandi will be backing up at tighthead, so Brok Harris, the Stormers’ very own Mr Versatility when it comes to front-row forwards, now covers loosehead.

DHL Stormers team: Damian Willemse, Suleiman Hartzenberg, Ruhan Nel, Dan du Plessis (captain), Leolin Zas, Jurie Matthee, Paul de Wet, Keke Morabe, Ben-Jason Dixon, Marcel Theunissen, Ruben van Heerden, JD Schickerling, Neethling Fouche, Joseph Dweba, Sti Sithole. Replacements: Andre-Hugo Venter, Brok Harris, Sazi Sandi, Adre Smith, Louw Nel, Dewaldt Duvenage, Warrick Gelant, Angelo Davids.
