Fucsovics ends six-year wait for second ATP title in Bucharest
Marton Fucsovics claimed his second ATP title on Sunday, six years after his first, with a straight-sets triumph over Mariano Navone in the final of the Bucharest clay-court tournament.
The 32-year-old Hungarian eased past his Argentine opponent 6-4, 7-5 to add to his maiden title in Geneva in 2018.
"At some point, I felt like playing at home," said Fucsovics who will rise from 82 to 53 in the new rankings on Monday.
Fifth-seeded Navone fell short of winning his first ATP Tour title, but will now crack the top 50 for the first time at number 41.
