Cele admits Chiefs in crisis ahead of Galaxy clash
Thabo Cele admits Kaizer Chiefs are in a crisis as the team will be hoping to bounce back in the Betway Premiership when they go up against TS Galaxy at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday evening.
Kick-off is at 7pm CAT (SA, GMT+2)
TEAM NEWS
Kaizer Chiefs centre back Rushwin Dortley has been ruled out of this clash, with the club confirming the 22-year-old had surgery to repair an injury he suffered at the beginning of March.
CURRENT FORM
Chiefs are coming off the back of a 2-1 defeat against Golden Arrows, and in eighth position on the league table. AmaKhosi are winless in their last three league matches, having also lost 2-0 to Richards Bay and played to a goalless draw against Cape Town City.
In TS Galaxy’s case, the team is occupying fourth in the log. Their previous league match saw them lose 2-1 to Marumo Gallants. Prior to that they picked up wins against AmaZulu and SuperSport United respectively.
WHAT WAS SAID
AmaKhosi midfielder Thabo Cele admits that the Soweto club are in a crisis, but he believes they can claw their way out of the situation sooner rather than later.
“For sure for Chiefs to be sitting where we are is not nice,” Cele said in a press conference at Naturena on Thursday.
“You can call it a crisis. Even us, as a team, we feel we can do way better and we are working on that. Eventually something is going to come if we just keep working and believing in what we are doing. There are many positives that we can see, it is just a matter of being consistent and getting results.”
PLAYERS TO WATCH

Keagan Dolly, TS Galaxy – The dynamic creative midfielder will be eager to show his former club what they are missing out on as he continues to enjoy an impressive spell at TS Galaxy in the Betway Premiership.
