Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs returned to winning ways during the Betway Premiership's matchday four.

Peter Shalulile's PSL record-setting 130th goal earned Sundowns a 1-0 win over Stellenbosch FC at the Athlone Stadium on Saturday, as the champions bounced back to winning ways after drawing 0-0 with Kaizer Chiefs in midweek.

At the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Chiefs were made to sweat for a 1-0 victory over a stubborn Lamontville Golden Arrows courtesy of debutant and super-sub Flavio Silva's 69th-minute goal - becoming the first Guinea-Bissau player to score for Amakhosi.

Amakhosi reclaimed the second on the league standings, leapfrogging third-placed Sundowns, but Sekhukhune United remained at the top of the standings after securing a 2-0 win over Durban City at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium, where Bradley Grobler netted his 100th career league goal.

The action continued on Sunday as Orlando Pirates recorded their third successive league victory when they brushed aside Chippa United 3-0 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, with Patrick Maswanganyi, Deon Hotto and Tshepang Moremi netting to fire the Bucs into fifth spot.

At the Dr Molemela Stadium, Marumo Gallants extended their winless run to three matches after letting a lead slip in their 1-1 draw with Polokwane City, as Bonginkosi Dlamini cancelled out Bheki Mabuza's opener.
