Orlando Pirates will be targeting the Betway Premiership's top spot this weekend as Siwelele FC seek redemption after their four-match unbeaten run was ended.

The Buccaneers are set to travel to eThekwini, knowing that avoiding a defeat against Durban City at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday would elevate them to the top of the standings, with current log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns, inactive in the competition this weekend.

However, City could prove to be a hard nut to crack, as coach Gavin Hunt's side are undefeated in their last two matches and they will be targeting a win in order to consolidate their place in the top eight, having impressed in their debut PSL season.

At the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium, Siwelele will be determined to bounce back to winning ways after losing to AmaZulu last weekend, but they will be up against a rock-bottom Chippa United side, who are in desperate need of points.

The action in the South African top-flight will start on Friday with AmaZulu FC targeting a win over Richards Bay, which would take Usuthu to the third spot in the standings, at the Umhlathuze Sports Complex.

Richards Bay, on the other hand, are keen to snap a five-match winless run in the league.

Meanwhile, Polokwane City will be looking to make it back-to-back wins when they host inconsistent TS Galaxy at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

Lastly, Marumo Gallants and Magesi FC will both be determined to end their respective winless runs when they meet at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium on Sunday.
