Ncikazi content to do any job at Pirates

Orlando Pirates stand-in coach Mandla Ncikazi says he is happy to fulfill any role that the club might give him in the future after being asked whether he wanted another crack at the head coaching position.
Ncikazi, 56, stood in for the last four matches of the Betway Premiership season after the premature departure of coach Jose Riveiro and previously served as co-coach of the country with Fadlu Davids in the 2021-22 season when they reached the African Confederation Cup final.
Nixckiazi was asked about any future aspirations and what was going through his head after Pirates drew their last game of the season against Magesi at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday but joked, “there is nothing is happening in my head. It's empty”.
“I have learnt too much in this club. You don't only learn as a coach. You also learn as a human being. They teach you to be a better man. They teach you to be a better human being,” he told reporters.
“I'm not the type that is looking for opportunities. When I've got into this club, I became a sort of a servant, I want to serve this club. And you remember when you are appointed here, you must put your aspirations in the right place.
“You are here to serve, and if you are serving, you are not the one who determines which direction is a mission, you go with the mission,” said Ncikazi, a former head coach at Maritzburg United and Lamontville Golden Arrows, who was initially hired by Pirates to be Joe Zinnbauer’s assistant in June 2021.
“It's the appointer who will take that direction. My aspirations, there's nothing in my mind,” Ncikazi added.
