Day 2: Rain washes out day two of Dragons v Western Province

Constant rain meant an early call in the morning on Friday’s day two was able to be made with play called for the day in the CSA 4-Day series match between the Renault North West Dragons and World Sports Betting Western Province at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on Thursday.
Day one was also completely washed out on Thursday, and things looked even worse on Friday with the covers securely in place and puddles across the field from the constant rain.
With poor weather predicted in Potchefstroom the for the final two days as well, it is unknown if we will see any play at all in the final pool game between the Dragons and Western Province.
For coastal the visitors, they will be desperate to see some play, as at fourth on the log they need a win in their final pool match to give them the best possible chance to make it into the top two on the log and qualify for the competition final.
The Dragons at seventh are out of the running and will just hope to finish their four day campaign on the best possible note, so will also be eager to get onto the field.
If there is no play possible over the four days it will likely end both team’s seasons on a very disappointing note.
