The encounter will take place at the Carrington Training Centre, where the team trained on Thursday, exuding confidence and enthusiasm as they prepare for this highly anticipated clash.

The team aims to set a positive tone for the tour by delivering a strong performance against United.

In anticipation of the match, Chiefs coach Dillon Sheppard expressed his belief that his players are well-prepared to meet the challenge posed by United.

He emphasised that while the outcome is important, the quality of performance will take precedence over the final result.

Stated Sheppard: "We rested up well after the long travel; we needed to get our legs going today. The boys will be ready for the occasion; they know the magnitude of this game and what is at stake.

"They will go all out and give their best. They earned this trip by doing so well and now they have to gauge themselves; it would be very important that they do well. Performance would be important; in a game of football, the aim is always to win the match. We will see the weather conditions and give our best."

The Amakhosi reserves, the current champions of the DDC, have earned their trip to Europe as a well-deserved reward for clinching the title.

Their itinerary includes notable fixtures against Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers, providing these young athletes with an invaluable opportunity to gauge their skills against some of the premier academies in global football.

In addition to the matches, the team is set to visit the esteemed academies of Manchester United, where they anticipate engaging in knowledge-sharing sessions aimed at gleaning insights from elite youth development frameworks.
