UD Songo are Mozambique champions

União Desportiva do Songo secured a fourth Mozambique league title, defeating Textáfrica do Chimoio 5-1 on Thursday and ensuring the title with five games to spare before the end of the season.
UD Songo add the 2025 Moçambola title to the trophies won in 2017, 2018, and 2022.

Striker Luís Miquissone, who was previously signed by Mamelodi Sundowns but never played for the club, scored a hattrick to take his tally to 14 for the season and is leading the race to finish as the top scorer in the league for the season.
UD Songo’s side included the 42-year-old Dominguez (Elias Pelembe) who also won league honours in South Africa with the likes of SuperSport United, Sundowns and Bidvest Wiys.
It was a 17th successive league win of the season for UD Songo who advanced to 56 points, 19 more than second placed Black Bulls, who have six games to play and if they win them all will finish on 55 points.
