The emphatic win in Riyadh keeps Al Nassr four points clear at the top of the Saudi Pro League after nine matches.

Former Premier League stars João Félix and Sadio Mané also found the net, but it was Ronaldo’s acrobatics that stole the headlines.

Despite his glittering career, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is still chasing his first title in Saudi Arabia nearly three years after joining.

OTHER LEGENDS WHO SCORED IN THEIR 40s

Ronaldo’s feat joins a select list of footballing greats who defied age and scored iconic goals well past their 40th birthday:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – At 41, Zlatan became the oldest goalscorer in Serie A history, netting a trademark strike for AC Milan before retiring in 2023.

Francesco Totti – The AS Roma legend bowed out at 40, still scoring decisive goals in Serie A and proving his class until his final match.

Teddy Sheringham – At 40 years and 268 days, Sheringham became the oldest scorer in Premier League history, showing his sharp instincts for West Ham.

Romario – The Brazilian World Cup winner continued to score into his 40s, even returning briefly at 43 to play alongside his son.

Jose Sand – The Argentine striker netted for Lanus at 41, breaking a 62-year-old record for oldest scorer in Argentina’s topflight.
