Espanyol crowned XXXII Ascale LaLiga FC Futures champions

The 32nd edition of the Ascale LaLiga Fc Futures National Tournament has concluded with RCD Espanyol de Barcelona crowned as champions. After a hard-fought final, the Catalan side claimed the title in a penalty shootout against Sevilla FC. Valencia CF and Real Madrid finished in third and fourth place, respectively.
The tournament, held at the Estadio de la Cerámica, brought together the top U12 youth academies from across Spain, cementing its reputation as a benchmark platform for emerging talent.
Over three intense matchdays, the young players showcased high levels of competitiveness, sporting values, and remarkable technical ability, reaffirming the commitment of LaLiga, the José Ramón de la Morena Foundation, and Villarreal CF to grassroots football and the promotion of future stars.
SEMIFINALS
RCD Espanyol 3–2 Real Madrid
A thrilling and action-packed encounter took place at La Cerámica. The Catalan side took the lead in the first half thanks to a headed goal from Gorka. Real Madrid responded with resilience, turning the game around before halftime with goals from Montoro and Hugo.
After the break, RCD Espanyol mounted a comeback with Gorka’s well-placed strike from the edge of the box and a goal from Neme following a series of rebounds inside the area. In the closing minutes, Martí, the goalkeeper, produced a crucial save to deny Real Madrid an equaliser and secure a place in the final.
Sevilla FC 2–1 Valencia CF
A tightly contested match between the reigning champions of the 28th International LaLiga Fc Futures Tournament in Maspalomas and the 31st Ascale LaLiga Fc Futures National Tournament. Sevilla FC opened the scoring before the break with a powerful strike from Mateo Luz. In the second half, Luca Sánchez equalised for Valencia CF with a fine move down the left wing.
The standout moment came from Mario Anguas, who sealed Sevilla’s place in the final with an acrobatic finish after a loose ball in the box—an effort worthy of the stage and the occasion.

RCD Espanyol 1–1 Sevilla FC (Penalties 3–1)
Both Espanyol and Sevilla were aiming to claim their third LaLiga Fc Futures title. The opening half was marked by nerves and balance. Erick came close to breaking the deadlock but missed narrowly. It was Gorka, after a turnover and a brilliant team move,
who fired in a left-footed shot from the edge of the box to give Espanyol the lead. The number 5 capped off a superb day following his brace in the semifinals. In the second half, Sosa equalised with a clinical left-footed drive inside the post. The deadlock remained through a five-minute extra time period, forcing a penalty shootout. There, Martí stepped up again, saving a crucial spot kick to secure the title for RCD Espanyol.
