Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies crowned 2025 champions — six in a row

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have officially secured the 2025 Hollywoodbets Super League title, making it six championships in a row and further strengthening their legacy as the most dominant team in South African women’s football.
What makes this triumph even more impressive is that Sundowns wrapped up the title with two league matches still to play, showcasing their unmatched consistency throughout the season.

After 28 games, Sundowns sit comfortably at the top of the table with 74 points, built from 24 victories, two draws, and only two losses. Their numbers tell the full story of their dominance — they have scored 80 goals, the highest in the league, and conceded just eight, making them the best attacking and defensive team in the competition.
Week after week, Banyana Ba Style have controlled games, moved the ball with intention, and displayed the killer instinct needed to stay at the top.
Their closest challengers, TS Galaxy Queens, remain on 66 points after 28 matches and have mirrored Sundowns’ win–draw–loss record but have not been able to match their scoring power or consistency.
JVW FC, who have played 29 games, are also on 66 points, showing how tight the race has been behind Sundowns. But despite the pressure, the champions never lost control of the title chase.
This sixth consecutive league title is not just a milestone for the club — it is a statement about the culture they have built. Year after year, the team remains disciplined, fearless, and hungry. Their depth, experience, and tactical strength continue to set the standard for women’s football in the country.
Sundowns still have two remaining fixtures, starting with an away trip to Ezemvelo Women’s Football Club. In the first round, Sundowns claimed a comfortable 2–0 win at home, thanks to goals from Nonhlanhla Mthandi and Thato Letsoso.
They will then end their season with a massive clash against TS Galaxy Queens, a team they beat 3–1 earlier this season. That match was highlighted by a sensational hat-trick from Refilwe Tholakele, while Nomvula Kgoale scored the consolation goal for Galaxy.
TS Galaxy, meanwhile, still have a key fixture against UWC at home before facing Sundowns in what could be a thrilling finish to their season. JVW will close off their campaign at home against First Touch Ladies, looking to secure a strong finish in the top three.
