Barcelona coach Hansi Flick selected Fermin Lopez in attacking midfield over Gavi for his team's Champions League quarterfinal first leg clash against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.

Lopez joins attacking trio Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha as the five-time winners look to get off to a good start at their temporary Olympic Stadium home against last season's runners-up.

Inigo Martinez starts after missing the draw against Real Betis in LaLiga on Saturday, with the Catalan giants unbeaten in all 22 matches they have played in 2025.

Dortmund coach Niko Kovac selected Waldemar Anton in place of the injured Nico Schlotterbeck, who will miss the rest of the season.

The Croatian also opted for English winger Jamie Gittens, 20, in attack, rather than Maximilian Beier, who was another option.

Dortmund are without midfielder Pascal Gross, suspended for the first leg of the tie, with on-loan Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka and Felix Nmecha starting in central midfield.
