Usuthu get back to winning ways with dominant Magesi victory
AmaZulu returned to winning form with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Magesi in Saturday evening's Betway Premiership clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Following their recent 4-2 setback against Sekhukhune United, Usuthu delivered a masterclass performance on home soil, completely outclassing their Polokwane-based opponents with an impressive display of attacking football.
The hosts stamped their authority on the match from the opening whistle, with their aggressive approach paying dividends in the 21st minute. Nkosikhona Radebe capitalised on an excellent aerial pass from midfielder Rowan Human to break the deadlock.
While Magesi managed to create several half-chances before the interval, their attempts failed to trouble the AmaZulu goalkeeper, leaving the hosts with a deserved 1-0 lead at halftime.
The second half saw Usuthu maintain their dominance, with Dikwena Tsa Meetse struggling to gain any meaningful possession. Tshepang Moremi extended AmaZulu's advantage in the 63rd minute, further asserting their control over the proceedings.
Substitute Andiswa Sithole marked his impact by notching his maiden goal for the club, completing the 3-0 rout.
The result will particularly please coach Arthur Zwane, as his team not only secured maximum points but also kept a clean sheet, demonstrating marked improvement in their defensive organisation.
