Galaxy swept aside as coach says they had no chance

TS Galaxy had little chance of success in Saturday’s Betway Premiership clash against Mamelodi Sundowns in Atteridgeville after going 2-0 down inside seven minutes and seeing Victor Letsoalo sent off midway through the first half, said coach Adnan Beganovic.
Galaxy had upset the champions 11 days earlier at Mbombela Stadium but were swept aside in the return league fixture, eventually losing 4-1.
“In my opinion, when you concede four goals against Sundowns, it's a fantasy to believe you can come back to score three more goals, to make the score 4-4,” the Galaxy coach said after the match.
“Also, we need to be honest, this Sundowns is the best team, maybe not only in South Africa, maybe in the whole of Africa. They have invested so much in their players, in the facilities, and always play in the Champions League and are going to the Fifa Club World Cup. It's a club at a high level.
“Even if we had 11 players on the field, it's like we need to put out more energy than our opponent. If we want to achieve something, we need to be on the top of our game. We need to win every duel. We need to fight with 100 per cent because even if you’re a little bit down on that, you can easily lose the game, because they have quality players who can finish a game in one second,” Beganovic added.
“We just need to put all our focus on ourselves. We want to press, we want to have the ball but sometimes the opponent doesn't allow that.
“We didn't have any chance against Mamelodi Sundowns, because, first of all, the red card destroyed us, put us down and then we couldn’t find any solutions to attack or to score goals.
“In the end, I want to say, for me and for the club, we have had a good time in the last month. We can't complain about anything. Now we need just to finish this season, and we want to be on a top eight spot,” he said.
