With Sekhukhune United eyeing a spot in CAF competition next season, Babina Noko will hope to move one step closer to their goal when they take on TS Galaxy at the Dobsonville Stadium in the Betway Premiership on Sunday afternoon.

Kick-off is at 3:30pm (CAT,GMT+2)

CURRENT FORM

The Rockets, who are in fifth position on the log, will head into their next league game on the back of a three-match winless streak.

Their inconsistent run of form was summed up by a 2-1 defeat against Magesi last time out while they last tasted victory on the 14th of March where they bagged a 2-1 win against AmaZulu at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium.

Sekhukhune on the other hand, have been experiencing a fruitful month of April as they continue their surge to qualify for the CAF Confederations Cup.

Following victories against Cape Town City and Polokwane City in their last two Betway Premiership assignments, Babina Noko moved up to third on the table with 40 points to their name after 23 matches played.

WHAT WAS SAID

With the tie against Sekhukhune in mind, TS Galaxy mentor Adnan Beganovic has urged his team to keep fighting for a lofty place on the league table.

“We start from the bottom, and we fight for every point every game. We need to finish this season properly because our fans deserve that,” Beganovic said.

“We need to try and collect as many points as possible until the end.”

“We have three games to play — Sekhukhune, Richards Bay at home and then Orlando Pirates away, we have nine possible points to win. But if we can get four or six points, we can stay in the top five and that can be a huge success for us.”

As for Eric Tinkler and Sekhukhune United, the former Cape Town City boss recently revealed that his mandate at the Limpopo side is to get into CAF position at the end of the 24/25 campaign.

“We want that No 3 spot to try and get into CAF you know that’s been the objective,” Tinkler said.

“That was what the club brought me in here for, to get a team into the CAF competition. So that is my purpose. That is my objective.”

PLAYERS TO WATCH

TS Galaxy: Keagan Dolly – The former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns star will no doubt bank on his vast experience in helping Galaxy to collect as many points until the end of the season. Whether it be in a wide or central role, Dolly will be one of the main attacking threats for his side this weekend.

Sekhukhune United: Ngoanamello Rammala – Rammala played a starring role during his side’s 2-0 win against Polokwane City last weekend and will hope to maintain his goal scoring form against TS Galaxy on Sunday.
