EPISODE 4 PREVIEW: the talent search hots up

The stakes keep getting higher at the SuperSport MVP Talent Search camp.

It is yet again another opportunity for the MVPs to show their worth in the SuperSport MVP Talent Search Show as they hope to join the elite World of Champions.

SuperSport’s Hope Mbhele and Tshego Koke lead the competition that aims to find South Africa’s next generation of sports broadcasters.

This week’s task will not only challenge the contestants’ sports knowledge and versatility but it will test their ability of being able to think on their feet. Yikes! Every participant wants to have a taste of being in the top 10 and stand a chance to prove themselves and convince the judges that they deserve to be there.

But if they are not able to get into the top 10, at least the contestants know they have each other to learn from and be a shoulder to lean on.

F1 FOCUS

This week Absolute F1 host and radio presenter, Kriya Gangiah, is the mentor. The 19 contenders will be put on the spot to showcase their presenting and commentary skill in order to get an opportunity to earn pearls of wisdom and mentorship from Kriya.

And so it begins! The nerves could be the downfall of some of the MVPs in the elimination challenge. This also raises the question, how much sports content and sporting events do they consume outside of the usual football, rugby and, cricket? How will this affect their chances in this round?

Well, those who dazzle this week’s mentor will be heading to the stadium. Can you guess what competition they will be covering?

FIRST LADY

This week our resident judge, Neil Andrews will be joined by seasoned sportscaster, the First Lady of Sport Carol Tshabalala as well as radio, television personality and club DJ and, DJ Warras (Warrick Stock).

Carol’s career in sports broadcasting spans close to three decades and she became the first African to host the FIFA Ballon d’Or in Zurich in 2011. As an anchor for SuperSport International and Premier League Productions in the UK, she brings a global perspective.

The MVPs will have to pull their socks up to impress this unbelievable panel.

HAVE THE TISSUES READY

Some familiar faces return to the top ten, while others rejoice for making it into the top for the first time in three episodes. Can you guess who will be in the top three? Do you think there will be some familiar faces?
