Kaizer Chiefs' woes in the Betway Premiership continued as they registered their 11th defeat of the season in the South African top tier.

Two goals from Trevor Mathiane and Daniel Msendami saw Marumo Gallants secure a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Chiefs at FNB Stadium on Saturday.

Therefore, Chiefs, whose consolation goal was scored by Glody Lilepo, slipped down to ninth in the standings, while Gallants moved up to the 10th spot.

Meanwhile, Etiosa Ighodaro's 84th-minute goal earned AmaZulu FC a 1-0 victory over Lamontville Golden Arrows at the Mpumalanga Stadium.

The win elevated Usuthu to the sixth spot in the standings, while Abafana Bes'thende remained 12th after losing in the KZN Derby.

At the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, Lebohang Nkaki's goal cancelled Christian Saile's opener as Polokwane City fought back to hold SuperSport United to a 1-1 draw.

The result saw SuperSport climb out of the relegation zone as they are now placed 14th in the table, while Polokwane slipped down to the seventh spot.

On Sunday, Sekhukhune United let a lead slip in their 1-1 draw against TS Galaxy as Chibuike Ohizu's opener was cancelled out by Kamogelo Sebelebele's goal.

The outcome at the Dobsonville Stadium left Sekhukhune placed third in the standings, while Galaxy remain fifth after recording the eighth draw of the season.
