Bereket Samuel, Ato Shemsedin Kedir, and Hawassa Kenema sanctioned

The first week of the BetKing Ethiopia Premier League has already produced some sanctions as Bereket Samuel, Ato Shemsedin Kedir and Hawassa got on the bad books.

The Competition Leadership and Discipline Committee met today, Monday October 9, 2023, to decide on the sanctions.

They examined the disciplinary reports submitted to them from the referees and observers of the Ethiopian Premier League matches during the meeting and passed various decisions.

Bereket Samuel of Hawassa City received a red card and was ejected from the field of play for committing a second yellow card offence in their game against Fasil Kenema.

Ato Shemsedin Kedir, Shashemene City- Team Leader and his Club were fined 1000 Birr ( one thousand Birr) according to the rules of the Premier League for the offence of coming late during the pre-match meeting of the game against Wollaita Dicha.

There was also sanctions meted out at the Club level with Hawassa City on the receiving end.

The club played against Fasil Kenema, five players of the Hawassa City team were given cards for various offences, so it was decided that they should pay a fine of Birr 5000 (Five thousand Birr) according to the disciplinary guidelines of the EFF.
