Ethiopian Insurance will take on Sidama Coffee as the Ethiopia Premier League Week 9 fixtures start on Wednesday.

Adama City and Hadiya Hossana will square up in the second game with both matches scheduled for the Adama Science and Technology University Stadium.

Both Ethiopian Insurance and Sidama Coffee come into this game on the back of big wins with Insurance 2-0 victors over Hambericho Durame and Sidama Coffee thrashing Wolaitta Dicha 4-1.

The win for Ethiopian Insurance was their first after six winless matches as Gebremdhin Haile's team have failed to maintain their high standards from last season.

They have also struggled to find the net through this winless period, but the victory last week lifted them to ninth on the log with nine points.

Sidama Coffee, on the other hand, are boosted with new coach  Zelalem Shiferaw taking charge of his first match at the helm.

Shiferaw will want to build on Sidama's most recent result when they scored four goals against Wolaitta Dicha, one of the league's best defensive teams.

Sidama have won only twice in eight matches despite being one of the most active teams in the summer transfer window.

There were high expectations from the Seyoum Kebede-led team before the season started. However, those expectations weren't met and the team parted ways with the legendary gaffer and will now look to Shiferaw to get them back on track.

They will also hope former league top scorer Yigezu Bogale finds his range in the goal-scoring department.

Sidama Coffee are in 11th spot with eight points.

Adama City host Hadiya Hossana in the second match of the day with an inconsistent run of recent results that include a draw and a loss.

Adama are fifth with 13 points with coach Yitagesu Endale hoping to get back to winning ways.

Their opponents, Hadiya Hosanna got their first win of the season away to Fasil Kenema in Week 8.

They are 12th with eight points and boast the second meanest defence in the league.
