FULL TIME: SOUTH AFRICA 49-18 TONGA: South Africa take the victory but won't be terribly happy with their conversion rate from raids into the 22. They have got a win and the bonus point but couldn't secure the 36-point win that would have made their last eight place locked in. South Africa will await the outcome of the Ireland vs Scotland clash next weekend to learn their last eight fate.

CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, LIBBOK, 49-18: Libbok converts and that will be the last act of the match

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, SMITH, 47-18: Smith bashes over for the seventh Springbok try.

Tonga steal the lineout but then knock on and another Springbok attack doesn't quite go to plan.

Tonga once again find space for Inisi but Kriel gets back to gather a kick ahead and does well to stay out of goal. Hendrikse clears well from the ruck but South Africa want to get onto attack.

Pellegrini can't convert his own try.

TRY, TONGA, PELLEGRINI, 42-18: Pellegrini gets in for the try after a loose pass from Williams gives them the ball and they attack quickly.

Esterhuizen thinks he is through but he has been tackled and got to his feet without releasing the ball and Tonga can clear from the penalty.

The Springboks win the big scrum penalty and drive Tonga deep into their 22 with the penalty kick and they set up a maul and rumble towards the Tongan line.

Tonga can't move Fourie off the ball and South Africa get away from their 22 and set up a lineout on halfway. After the setpiece the Springboks send it wide but a forward pass ends the attack.

CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, LIBBOK, 42-13: Libbok converts again from the other flank.

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, VAN STADEN, 40-13: Van Staden powers over to finish off a lightning strike from South Africa. Smith went through a hole and offloaded to Kriel and it was quickly recycled quickly with Moodie going close before offloading to Van Staden for a powerful finish.

Tonga knock on from the restart but win a fortuitous scrum-time penalty and they can attack from the lineout.

CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, LIBBOK, 35-13: Libbok converts well from the corner.

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, LE ROUX, 33-13: Le Roux does well to finish in the corner after the Springboks pounce on the loose ball inside the Tonga 22 and swing ti wide.

Tonga contest the lineout and force a Springbok knock on from the setpiece five out. The Springboks have squandered another entry into the Tonga 22 after promising build-up play.

Havili cannot convert the try from out wide.

TRY, TONGA, INISI, 28-13: Inisi flies in at the corner as Tonga sting the Springboks with a quick attack.

South Africa are penalised for a collision with Etzebeth warned but Tonga can kick up into the South African half.

CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD, 28-8: Pollard converts the try before leaving the fields

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, KRIEL, 26-8: Kriel snipes and stretches to score after another green and gold wave crashed against the Tonga defence.

Tonga are allowed a cheap exit after a scrum time penalty and an uncontested lineout. However Moodie does good work to force a penalty that allows the Springboks to shift play right back to the Tonga 22.

Orie gets up to secure the steal for South Africa and they rumble towards the line but once again there is a knock on with the line at their mercy.

Esterhuizen is bundled into touch at last and Tonga survive a long sustained attack from the Springboks.

The second half is underway but an early charge down has Tonga scrambling which they do well and clear up into the Springboks half.

HALF TIME: SOUTH AFRICA 21-8 TONGA

The Springboks will try for another score before half time from a lineout just outside the Tonga 22.

Havili misses the conversion under pressure from the kick clock.

TRY, TONGA, TAMEIFUNA, 21-8: Tameifuna has powered over to score from short range.

Havili has put the kick down into the 22 and right up to the five metre line and Tonga have a great platform to attack.

A knock-on sees Tonga get some attacking ball again. So far they have come close but haven't managed to pierce the Springboks line.

CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD, 21-3: Another solid conversion from Pollard adds the extra two points.

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, FOURIE, 19-3: Fourie goes over at the tail of the maul.

The Springboks want to go quickly from the penalty but the referee is talking to Tonga with the clock running.

Mapimpi leaves the field for an HIA but the foul play doesn't reach a yellow card threshold according to the referee.

Mapimpi stays down after head on head contact and the TMO will egt involved here.

The Springboks maul rumbles up towards the line but the maul is brought down and Tonga get the scrum.

Tonga are struggling to stop the Springboks maul legally and South Africa set up another lineout inside the Tonga 22.

Tonga launch another manful attack but they get in each other's way and South Africa get a scrum for accidental offside.

CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD, 14-3: Another neat conversion from Pollard adds the extra two.

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, MOODIE, 12-3: Moodie gets a kind bounce as Koch gets a faceball and he is away to score!

Tonga concede the penalty on attack with some cynical play as they try to pin a Springbok in a ruck.

Tonga get the lineout but they are lucky as they are powered towards the touchline.

South Africa muscle Tonga out on the lineout set move and secure the ball from their own defensive setpiece and Reinach kicks clear but not outside their 22.

Tonga are keeping South Africa hemmed in and the penalties just keep coming. A big cross-kick goes out in goal but Tonga had the advantage.

A high-tackle will give Tonga another penalty and Tonga call for the scrum. It is in the middle of the park.

Tonga go to the corner from the penalty kick now and the crowd loves it.

South Africa strip the ball but Mapimpi can't gather cleanly and Tonga have the scrum. They attack quickly and win the advantage but can't use it.

CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, POLLARD, 7-3: A neat conversion from Pollard adds the extras.

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, REINACH, 5-3: Reinach takes the tap penalty and sneaks in at the corner as teh Springboks up the tempo.

PENALTY, TONGA, HAVILI, 0-3: The Springboks are offside after the lineout and Havili slots the kick.

The Springboks miss the kick off and it bounces into touch away from Reinach and Tonga have an early chance.
