Veteran defender Edmilson leaves Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed a third departure ahead of the new Premier Soccer League season with Mozambique international defender Edmilson Dove to leave the club after three seasons with the club.
Dove follows Sabelo Radebe and Ranga Chivaviro as confirmed departures from Naturena as coach Nasreddine Nabi rebuilds for the new campaign.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Edmilson for his contribution to Kaizer Chiefs and wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” Chiefs said in a brief statement.
The 30-year-old made 54 starts (and two sub appearances) in his three seasons with the team, playing as either a left-back or centre-back. He started the Nedbank Cup final win over Orlando Pirates in May.
He had previously spent six years at Cape Town City before a long-term knee injury ended his stay at the club.
