No going home for Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch will be moving swiftly onto Polokwane after Wednesday’s Betway Premiership clash at Orlando Pirates to prepare for their MTN8 assignment at the weekend.
The Winelands club traveled to Johannesburg on Tuesday and play Pirates at the Orlando Stadioum on Wednesday (kick off 7.30pm, live on SuperSport) but instead of going home afterwards, will be heading to Limpopo province on Thursday.
They are scheduled to meet Sekhukhune United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday (kick off 6pm, live on SuperSport) in the second leg of their MTN8 semifinal.
Stellenbosch have a 2-0 lead from last Saturday’s first leg, where Kazie Enyinnaya and Devon Titus scored in the first half at the Danie Craven Stadium.
Steve Barker’s side are attempting to reach a third cup final in as many seasons.
They won the Carling Knockout in the 2023/24 campaign and last season reached the MTN8 final where they lost to Pirates.
Stellenbosch will only be returning home on Sunday and have a quick turnaround before hosting Marumo Gallants on Tuesday in the Betway Premiership and then champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday, 30 August.
