Baroka nearly reduced the deficit to one goal in the 79th minute, as Tapelo Xoki’s clearance hit his own face and ricocheted into the path of Kabelo Kgositsile, who skyed the ball over the crossbar.
Pirates have a quick turnaround and will face Golden Arrows away from home on Wednesday in a Betway Premiership fixture, while Baroka will set their sights on their upcoming clash against top-of-the-table Durban City on Saturday.
