Revitalised Magesi out to add to Chiefs' misery

Kaizer Chiefs will be determined to avoid a third successive Betway Premiership defeat when they host Magesi FC at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday.
Kick-off is at 7:30 pm CAT.
CURRENT FORM
Amakhosi are wounded and winless in their last two matches, having succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns away on Saturday and it was also their second defeat in a row.
Chiefs find themselves placed eighth in the Betway Premiership standings - three points behind sixth-placed Stellenbosch FC, and a win over Magesi would see the Soweto giants consolidate their place in the top eight.
Meanwhile, Magesi breathed a sigh of relief after snapping a two-match winless run by securing a 1-0 win over SuperSport United at home on Saturday, and they had lost two games in a row.
Dikwena Tsa Meetse are placed 15th in the Betway Premiership standings - two points behind 11th Golden Arrows, and a win over Chiefs would see the Limpopo side climb out of the relegation zone.
TEAM NEWS
Kaizer Chiefs will be without the suspended duo of Thabo Cele and Gaston Sirino, while Happy Mashiane, Wandile Duba, Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Edson Castillo are currently injured.
Magesi, on the other hand, have no suspension concerns, but Edmore Chirambadare is out injured and Wonderboy Makhubu has sustained a season-ending injury.
WHAT WAS SAID
Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi
“We feel it was bad luck to lose [against Sundowns], after the performance, but we have to put the three games in context, it’s a team that hasn’t won a cup in 10 years and a team who has won seven league titles in a row and top of African football and the other team in the process of building itself," Nabi said.
“I feel the players feel the prestige of the name, even if you look at the log, there’s a big difference but on the field you couldn’t tell today the difference in terms of points in the league, it was not reflected on the field, we’re on a good way for better outcomes in the future.”
Magesi FC head coach Owen Da Gama
"Yeah, it is going to be a tough game; there is no doubt about it. Chiefs are a quality side. You don't know who they are going to play on the day," Da Gama said.
"They have so many players and so many quality players. So, it is going to be a very, very tough one, but we are going to go there and give a very good account of ourselves."
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Glody Lilepo, Kaizer Chiefs: The DR Congo international has netted three goals in five league matches for Amakhosi, and he has what it takes to inspire Nasreddine Nabi's side to a win over Dikwena Tsa Meetse.
Mcedi Vandala, Magesi FC: The diminutive attacker could be the player to propel Dikwena Tsa Meetse to a victory in Nasrec, Johannesburg, having netted the winning goal against SuperSport United.
