After a few negative results in the most recent Motsepe Foundation Championship round, the likes of Durban City, JDR Stars and Orbit College will hope to return to the winning column this coming weekend as they look PSL promotion in the eye.

Log leaders Durban City will be away to Hungry Lions on this weekend, with their match set to commence at the Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The club formerly known as Maritzburg United suffered a 2-1 loss to Baroka last time out, which ended a positive two-match winning streak.

With Durban City ahead by four points at the summit, second-placed Orbit College will take on Venda Football Academy at the Olympia Park Stadium on Saturday.

Orbit moved within a point of Durban City last weekend following their 2-2 draw with Casric Stars in their most recent league assignment. Casric Stars, on the other hand, now trail Durban City by eight points heading into a crucial phase of the competition.

Elsewhere, third-placed JDR Stars will make their way to the Limpopo province this weekend with a fixture against Black Leopards at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Currently on the back of two consecutive draws, JDR Stars will hope to keep up with the pace set by Durban City as they trail the log leaders by five points after 19 matches played.
