Kruger United make silent moves on MFC table

As a side quietly going about their business in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this season, Kruger United will be eyeing top spot this weekend, while Cape Town City will likewise look to move up the rankings during their trip to Pretoria on Saturday.

Third-placed Kruger United are scheduled to face Venda Football Academy on Saturday and will head into their next fixture two points behind log leaders Milford FC, who will face Hungry Lions on Sunday.

Kruger United last recorded a 3-2 win over Casric Stars, who came off the back of three consecutive victories against Milford, Midlands Wanderers and Leicesterford City respectively.

As for City, the Western Cape outfit will aim to build on their recent 4-0 win against Lerumo Lions when they lock horns with the University of Pretoria on Saturday afternoon.

Despite their up and down form, City are unbeaten in their last three matches and currently occupy 10th on the table with 16 points to their name after 12 matches played.

AmaTuks have likewise found success in their last outing and bagged a 1-0 win against The Bees during matchday 12.

With two wins, two draws and one defeat in their last five encounters, Tuks have moved into sixth on the standings and are one point ahead of their upcoming opponents.
