Chippa need to find solution to scoring woes

Chippa United coach Vusimuzi Vilakazi has warned the struggling side needs to solve their goalscoring crisis or face a difficult second half of the season.
The Eastern Cape club sits bottom of the Betway Premiership, having played half of their fixtures.

Their goalless draw with Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday extended their winless streak to 10 matches, which has left them with nine points from 15 matches.
“It was not an easy game for us, obviously, we anticipated that, but we wanted to take advantage of playing at home and try to be victorious on the day,” said Vilakazi after the stalemate at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
“But it wasn't going to be easy. But I think the strategy and the approach were much better in terms of making sure that our defensive structure was spot on. We didn't concede any goals, but also we need to focus on aligning our offensive play because we are still struggling to put the ball into the back of the net.
“Maybe going forward, it's something that we need to pay attention to. It's either we find people who can score for us or we fix it in training.”
Vilakazi said that, therefore, Chippa would not have much of a break during the six-week hiatus for the Betway Premiership because of the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
“It's not going to be a break for us but it's going to be an opportunity for us to align a few areas of our games going forward.
“So we'll keep on working and trying to rectify the problem that we have of not being able to convert our chances into goals, but the commitment and the hard work must be honest,” he added.
