All eyes on Kaizer Chiefs as Diski Challenge kicks-off this weekend

The 2025-26 DStv Diski Challenge kicks off this weekend with a two-day festival at Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammarsdale.
All eyes will be on the reigning champions Kaizer Chiefs who will face off Diski Challenge newbies Orbit College in the last match of the weekend on Sunday at 3pm.
Amakhosi won the league with a record of 70 points last season claiming their first ever Diski title in the history of the tournament.
It also remains to be seen if, Stellenbosch FC, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, who completed the top five places last season, or those below them, will have enough firepower to knock Chiefs off their perch.
Stellenbosch and Golden Arrows are the only teams who have won the Diski Challenge title twice, now it remains to be seen if Kaizer Chiefs will be able to match them this season or we will have new champions.
At the festival in Hammarsdale, a KwaZulu-Natal derby between Arrows and Richards Bay FC will kick off the proceedings on Saturday afternoon (1pm).
That match will be followed by Pirates against Durban City FC at 3pm.
On Sunday, last seasons’ runners up Stellenbosch will be up against AmaZulu whom they have dominated for the past two seasons winning all matches against them.
The last match of the day, Amakhosi will welcome Orbit College in the DStv Diski Challenge at 3pm.
