DDC WRAP: Pirates make it six victories on the trot

Orlando Pirates are cruising nicely.
It seems that the Buccaneers are ready to assert their dominance this season in the DStv Diski Challenge league. In what many considered the match of the weekend, they managed to secure a convincing 3-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC on Saturday, despite expectations that they might drop points. This victory saw them make it six consecutive victories in seven matches. They are the only team that has yet to lose a game since the league started.
Joy Manana scored a brace against Stellenbosch, meanwhile Samukelo Zikalala netted the third and final goal, ensuring Pirates maintain their top spot on the log.
Kaizer Chiefs 2-2 Marumo Gallants
Things are not looking good for Amakhosi. On Sunday, the Chiefs were held to a 2-2 draw by a determined Marumo, extending their winless streak to four matches.
Chiefs went into halftime trailing 1-0 but staged a comeback in the second half, with Donay Jansen and Matlala Makhubo both scoring. It seemed as though Chiefs were on the verge of ending their winless run until a last-minute equaliser from Gallants changed the outcome.
AmaZulu 0-4 Durban City
Durban City asserted their dominance in the KwaZulu-Natal derby by defeating AmaZulu FC 4-0 at the Princess Magogo Stadium. The Team of Choice showed their strength from the beginning and took the lead during the first half. AmaZulu struggled throughout the match and suffered further setbacks from the visitors, resulting in a convincing victory for Durban City, which pushed them into the top eight of the standings.
