Major talking points in MFC Matchday 28

With Matchday 28 of the Motsepe Foundation Championship looming ever closer, clubs such as Leruma United and Venda Football Academy will once again be under the spotlight, much like that of Durban City and Orbit College who are battling it out for automatic promotion to the PSL.
Sitting at the bottom of the log, Leruma United will take on Kruger United at the KaNyamazane Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Leruma, who bagged just 25 points all season, last tasted victory on the 13th of April, where they managed to record a 2-1 win against Pretoria Callies at the Dobsonville Stadium.
Nonetheless, Leruma are in desperate need of a victory this weekend if they want to avoid the drop.
Also, 15th-placed Venda Football Academy will be away to Highbury on matchday 28, with their fixture set to commence at the Gelvandale Stadium on Friday afternoon.
As it stands, Venda hold a three-point lead over bottom-of-the-log Leruma United, while Cape Town Spurs are in 14th, one point ahead of Venda Football Academy.
Then, at the top of the pile, log leaders Durban City will take on JDR Stars at the Soshanguve Giant Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
After returning to the winning column last time out, Durban City will hope to maintain their three-point lead on second-placed Orbit College, who will go toe-to-toe with Baroka at the Olympia Park Stadium on Saturday.
