ZESCO United kept their MTN Super League title hopes alive with a late 1-0 victory over FC MUZA on Wednesday to move to within three points of leaders Power Dynamos, albeit having played a game more.

ZESCO have only four games remaining now in the campaign and will likely have to win each of those to overhaul Dynamos, who take their eight-game winning run into an away clash at NAPSA Stars on Thursday.

ZESCO looked as though they would have to settle for a draw before Leonard Mulenga popped up with a 95th minute winner to take the points.

Nkana FC saw their title hopes fade following a 2-2 home draw with relegation-threatened Zanaco. Nkana are six points behind Dynamos but have also played a game more.

They did at least come from two goals down as Wilson Chisala and Dominic Kanda gave Zanaco a 2-0 head-start.

But Idris Mbombo scored either side of halftime to draw Nkana level.

The result leaves Zanaco outside the relegation zone on goal-difference only as they remain in a precarious position.

Kabwe Warriors were held to a 0-0 draw by Mutondo Stars, while Nkwazi climbed into fifth with a 2-0 win at home to Green Buffaloes.

Kenneth Kasanga scored their first and Innocent Kashita netted the second.

Champions Red Arrows slumped to a 1-0 loss at Mufulira Wanderers as their title defence came to a stuttering halt.

Maybin Mpoya scored the only goal from the penalty-spot on 50 minutes.

Lumwana Radiants climbed out of the relegation zone with a 2-1 win at Atletico Lusaka as Abraham Kanyanga and Richard Zulu scored twice in the final 17 minutes.

Raymond Mwiinga pulled a goal back for the hosts but it was too little, too late.

Radiants are now a point clear of the drop-zone, but Atletico are very much in it.

Forest Rangers are two points from safety in third bottom as they played to a 1-1 draw with Green Eagles.

Chipa Kamunema put the latter in front, but Musa Kalwiji grabbed what could be a precious pint for the side with an equaliser.

Christopher Itaka’s penalty five minutes from the end gave Nchanga Rangers a 1-0 home win over bottom side Indeni FC, who were relegated several weeks ago.
