Warriors back on top of MTN Super League

Kabwe Warriors have moved back to the top of the MTN Super League, albeit on goal-difference, following a comprehensive 3-1 victory over bottom side Indeni FC on Sunday.
Warriors have 40 points from their 22 games, the same number as second-placed ZESCO United. But their +16 goal-difference is superior to ZESCO’s +10.
Red Arrows are in third place with 39 points and Power Dynamos in fourth with 36 as the title race hots up in the second half of the campaign.
Warriors went ahead against Indeni in the fifth minute after the unfortunate Benjamin put the ball into his own net.
Field Kandela doubled the advantage, before Simon Mwenya pulled a goal back just before the break. But Warriors sealed their win with a third from Francis Banda. Moffat Ngambi received a late red card for Indeni.
ZESCO were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Nchanga Rangers on Saturday. Abraham Siankombo gave them the perfect start with a goal inside four minutes but Mwiza Siwale equalised for Rangers and they had to settle for a point.
Red Arrows claimed a 1-0 win at in-form Lumwana Radiants as Paul Katema scored the only goal on 84 minutes to get their title bid back in track.
Power Dynamos were handsome 4-0 winners over struggling Zanaco as Chifundo Mphasi, John Soko and Brian Masanyinga all netted to go with an own goal by Kelvin Kapumbu.
Nkana FC had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Nkwazi despite taking the lead through Lazarous Kambole. Kenneth Kasanga equalised for the hosts in the second half.
A Golden Mashata goal in injury-time at the end of the game gave Green Buffaloes a 1-0 win at Atletico Lusaka, while NAPSA Stars and Green Eagles played to a 0-0 draw.
FC Musa were 2-0 winners over Forest Rangers thanks to a strike from Given Kalusa and a Francis Debra own goal, while Mufulira Wanderers won 1-0 at Mutondo Stars thanks to Evans Chisanga's second half strike.
