Leaders ZESCO United host relegation-threatened Forest Rangers in the MTN Super League on Saturday, hopefully of putting some distance between themselves and the chasing pack.

They hold a two-point advantage over second-placed Power Dynamos and are a further point in front of Kabwe Warriors in third.

You would think it is a home banker on Saturday, but Rangers can be a tough nut to crack and have drawn their last three games.

Too many draws are the reason why they find themselves in the bottom four, with 11 of their 25 matches ending in stalemates this season, and the last three games between ZESCO and Rangers have also been drawn.

In fact, ZESCO have not managed a home draw against their opponents since 2016.

Power Dynamos go to Kaizer Warriors in a battle between second and third, where defeat would be a potential hammer blow for the losing side.

Dynamos are on a run of four straight wins to go shooting up the table, while Warriors lost last time out in a blow to their title chances. The last eight meetings have seen three wins each and two draws.

Defending champions Red Arrows desperately need to win at Nkwazi to keep their chances of retaining their title alive, having fallen five points off the pace.

Nkwazi have lost only one of their last nine games at home (W5 D3), while Arrows have three wins and three draws in their last seven away games, though that defeat was their last road trip at ZESCO.

Nkana saw their title hopes dealt a heavy blow as they lost to Nchanga Rangers in their last game to fall seven points back from ZESCO. They host unpredictable Mufulira Wanderers at home on Sunday.

Other games see Mutondo Stars host relegation-threatened Zanaco, NAPSA Stars welcome bottom side Indeni, Nchanga Rangers go to Green Eagles, FC MUZA travel to Atletico Lusaka and Lumwana Radiants host Green Buffaloes.
