Power Dynamos stormed to the top of the MTN Super League standings following a 3-1 victory at Kabwe Warriors that underlines their championship credentials this season.

Dynamos have 48 points from their 26 games and lead second-placed ZESCO United on goal-difference.

Warriors are in third place with 44 points, and the duo of Nkana FC and Red Arrows both have 43 and will consider themselves still in the title race.

Chifundo Mphatsi netted a brace for Dynamos and Austin Muwowo scored a penalty in their comprehensive win, while Gabriel Banda scored what proved a consolation for Warriors.

ZESCO were held to a 0-0 draw at home by relegation-threatened Forest Rangers in what will be viewed as a disappointing result.

Nkana were 1-0 winners over Mufulira Wanderers as Congolese forward Idris Mbombo netted the only goal of the game.

Red Arrows were held to a 0-0 draw by Nkwazi FC as they dropped two more points.

NAPSA Stars compounded the misery for bottom side Indeni as they won 1-0, with Evans Kayombo scoring the only goal of the game.

Atletico Lusaka picked up a potentially crucial win as they edged FC MUZA 2-1.

Benjamin Chisala scored both goals for Lusaka, while Sepiso Nganga grabbed a late consolation for the visitors.

Green Eagles twice led against Nchanga Rangers but had to settle for a 2-2 draw in the end.

Moise Kanda Lola gave Eagles the lead, but Luzeka Sama equalised for Rangers.

Isaac Zulu restored the home advantage at 2-1, but Rangers came back again as Christopher Itaka equalised midway through the first half.

Sunday’s match between Lumwana Radiants and Green Buffaloes has been postponed to Monday at 10am due to bad weather.
