Returning Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi is expected to have a near-full strength squad to pick from for Wednesday’s Betway Premiership classic against champions Mamelodi Sundowns at Soccer City.

The paperwork for new signings has all been completed while centre-backs Rushwin Dortley and Given Msimango are making their way back from injury.

Chiefs had failed to secure the correct paperwork for Ethan Chislett, Nkanyiso Shinga and Flavio Silva, who were all signed from overseas clubs, and who all went on a pre-season tour to the Netherlands but have not featured in any of the opening three games of the new season for AmaKhosi.

Luke Baartman and Asanele Velebayi have proven successful in their bid to secure a move away from relegated Cape Town Spurs, who have dropped down to the amateur ranks, and Chiefs also last week introduced Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro to their supporters at halftime of their league win over Richards Bay at Soccer City, after signing him from Mamelodi Sundowns.

Chiefs’ three other new additions have all seen action already although Paseko Mako has had to recover from a fracture suffered in the Netherlands.

But Thabiso Monyane, also signed from Orlando Pirates, and Siphesihle Ndlovu have played for their new club with Ndlovu scoring the winner in their second game against AmaZulu.

Last week caretaker coach Khaled Ben Youssef said Shinga had fitness to work on while Chislett had been ill and missed training last week.

Striker Silva has also now got his work permit, Chiefs said.
