SuperSport seek to keep the momentum rolling against Arrows

SuperSport United F.C. are aiming for back-to-back Betway Premiership victories as they take on Lamontville Golden Arrows F.C at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Sunday.
Kick-off is at 5:45pm CAT
CURRENT FORM
Matsatsantsa a Pitori enter Sunday’s fixture on a high after defeating Kaizer Chiefs 4-1 on Tuesday. Gavin Hunt’s men have struggled so far this season, only winning five of their 18 Betway Premiership games, and currently sit 12th on the log. They will look to extend their unbeaten run in the league to three consecutive games.
Golden Arrows’ Wednesday night fixture against Orlando Pirates was postponed due to the pitch being waterlogged. Abafana Bes'thende have only played 15 league games this season and sit one spot above SuperSport in the league standings with only goal difference separating the two sides. They have only secured one victory in their last five league outings.
TEAM NEWS
The Glamour Boys have not reported any knocks to their squad, and should be at full strength for Sunday’s fixture.
Golden Arrows will be without dangerman Lungelo Nguse, as the striker has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury.
WHAT WAS SAID
SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt
“As I said, I thought the players were really good, but the players have been good the whole season. I just don't think we've got the results.”
“We've got to get ourselves out of the difficult situation we're in. You know, we haven't done well in the league. We know that, but it's not for a lack of effort and trying and commitment is all there. I mean, as I said, I've been in football a long time. The first signs you'll see are a drop of attitude or anything like that. But the attitude's been fine and I'm the first one to keep a finger on the pulse. But the players have been good and sometimes in football you don't get your deserved results.”
PLAYERS TO WATCH
SuperSport United: Since joining Matsatsantsa in November, Samir Nurković has bagged two goals in six appearances, including one against his former club, Kaizer Chiefs, midweek. The Serbian striker has extensive Betway Premiership experience and will be a key figure in turning his new side’s season around.
Golden Arrows: Nduduzo Sibiya is a key piece in Abafana Bes'thende’s system. The midfielder recently bagged an assist against Cape Town City and will need to bring his creativity to the pitch on Sunday.
