Chippa United coach Thabo September says Sinoxolo Kwayiba’s prospects would be better served by a move away from the club to a bigger team.

The flying wide players has already had a Bafana Bafana call up by national team coach Hugo Broos and scored six league goals this season, including a double on Tuesday as Chippa won 2-0 away at Cape Town City to move up four places in the standings.

“He can be very good. Still young, 24, good height, good speed, but I think, with better facilities, better players, better coaching … I'm not saying we're not good coaches … but better coaching, getting everything, nutritionist or whatever, that will help him to be a better player,” said September.

“With us, we can make him good to a certain point. I feel like he needs to move to a bigger team, because he's really a good player, a good human being as well in training and off the field. I would want him to do well,” added the coach.

“He had an opportunity to play for Bafana and once you taste that, you want to continue. So yeah, I'm happy for him, but we try to keep him grounded and make sure that we get the best out of him.”

Kwayiba is in his second season at the club, who signed him from Pretoria Callies after he impressed in his debut campaign in the Motsepe Foundation Championship in 2022/23.
