Atletico Lusaka relegated from MTN Super League on final day

Zanaco survived relegation on the final day of the MTN Super League season on Saturday despite a 1-0 loss to red Arrows, sending Atletico Lusaka back to the second-tier.

Atletico led 2-1 at second-placed ZESCO United with 17 minutes remaining on the clock, but lost 3-2 to drop into the bottom four.
Benjamin Chisala and Julius Kumwenda scored their goals in the first half, but Alex Ng'onga netted twice, the second a penalty, and George Ngoma scored to give ZESCO the win.
Angel Lubamba’s goal on 51 minutes was enough to give Arrows the win over Atletico that sees the former champions finish the campaign in fourth.

Champions Power Dynamos were held to a 1-1 draw by Nchanga Rangers as Titus Chansa cancelled out Lukeza Ange Sama’s early strike.
Nkana FC beat Kabwe Warriors 2-0 to secure third place as Idris Mbombo and Charles Zulu netted for the home side.
Aaron Musore’s early goal settled the nerves at Green Eagles as they started the day in the bottom four, but won 1-0 at home to FC MUZA.
Green Buffaloes won 2-1 at Mufulira Wanderers as Chilimba Moonga and Bornwell Mwape scored. Samuel Chiposa netted a consolation goal for the hosts.

Richard Zulu and Paul Tembo were on target as already relegated Lumwana Radiants was 2-0 at Nkwazi.
Forest Rangers, who had already had their fate sealed at the start of the day, won 3-1 at Indeni. Tiki Chiluba, Hope Katwishi and Chris Mugala scored for Rangers, while Logic Ching'andu netted for bottom side Indeni.
NAPSA Stars and Mutondo Stars played to a 0-0 draw.
