Despite their superior position over AmaZulu on the standings, Babina Noko are without a win in each of their last four league fixtures.
The Limpopo-outfit saw out defeats to Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates during this period, while recording a 1-1 draw with SuperSport United last time out.
WHAT WAS SAID
Reflecting on his side’s recent 1-0 loss against Gallants in the Nedbank Cup, Vilakazi lamented referee decisions throughout the match and expressed his discontent at the level of officiating in South Africa.
“Firstly, I’m very disappointed with the referee today. I brought this phone to show you the decisions of the referee,” Vilakazi told SuperSport.
“Everything was going against us, but we are very proud with Arthur [Zwane] about the effort of the players. They were working very hard; it was just not meant to be, but the effort was there.
“I’m very much disappointed in the referees and their decisions apart from the goal, we are not a team that always complains about referees but in this game it was very bad and we suffered. That’s disappointing for our football in South Africa.”
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Sekhukhune United: Linda Mntambo – As a senior figure in the Sekhukhune dressing room, Mntambo will be crucial in helping his side return to winning ways. Expected to play a big part in Wednesday evening’s fixture, Mntambo will be tasked to keep a calm head during a difficult spell of the campaign.
AmaZulu: Rowan Human – While Mntambo brings experience to Sekhukhune, Human has been a breath of fresh air at Usuthu. Always eager to make a difference in the 18-yard-area, Human will be a goal threat throughout the 90 minutes.
