Unbeaten Casric & Highbury under the spotlight in latest MFC action

Yet to lose a game in the 2025/26 Motsepe Foundation Championship season, Casric Stars and Highbury will hope to maintain their records going into this weekend’s list of fixtures in South Africa’s first division.
After four matches played in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, Casric Stars occupy top spot on the table despite recording a 1-1 draw with Baroka last time out.
Casric Stars are now scheduled to face Lerumo Lions at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Friday afternoon.
As a team boasting an undefeated record, Highbury will take on The Bees at the Gelvandale Stadium in Friday’s adjacent fixture.
Highbury are currently in fifth position on the log following their positive start to the campaign. The Motsepe Foundation Championship new boys commenced their season with 1-1 draws alongside University of Pretoria and Kruger United before bouncing back with consecutive victories against Baroka and Midlands Wanderers.
Elsewhere, bottom-of-the-log Black Leopards will target their first win of the season when they take on Leicesterford City at the Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday.
With two points to their name so far, Black Leopards recorded a 3-0 loss to Casric Stars on the opening day, which was followed up by back-to-back stalemates with AmaTuks and Lerumo Lions respectively.
